| The main user interface (EDGEMENU) for BackupEDGE is a web-based , graphical, or character application with drop-down menus, context-sensitive help, and other advanced features.
Using EDGEMENU, you may perform backups and restores, autodetect backup devices, schedule backups, view the status of running scheduled backups, and much more! |

| Because EDGEMENU deals with BackupEDGE Resources, it can control the low-level tape block size, hardware compression status, etc. of both your local and remote tape device(s) before attempting to access them. Because resources are defined on a system-wide basis, it assures you that the hardware configuration used will be the same no matter which system is accessing the device |
